Earlier this year, “Euphoria” actress Sydney Sweeney became the first global ambassador for Korean beauty brand Laneige. The makeup and skincare brand, which has been around since the ’90s, is beloved for its ultra-hydrating water- and hyaluronic acid-based moisturizers and overnight face and lip masks. “I love being able to support brands that I personally use because I have a long journey to find the right products for my skin,” Sweeney says.

For the “White Lotus” star, maintaining the health and appearance of her skin has always been important. “I always double cleanse—it’s important when you’re wearing makeup and traveling—and moisturize with overnight masks,” she says. Sweeney is also a fan of using SPF, and says that while filming her romantic comedy “Anyone But You,” released last year, she slathered on sunscreen to protect her skin from the Australian sun. “I was the only one on set who didn’t have a sunburn,” she says.

The 26-year-old also has fun with her red carpet looks. At this year’s Met Gala, held every May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, she evoked old-world Hollywood glamour in a fairytale blue tulle Miu Miu gown, black gloves and a chic black bob. Despite her glamorous red carpet looks, Sweeney admits she’s much more demure in her day-to-day life. “In my normal life, I’m definitely a jeans-and-a-T-shirt kind of girl, and I’m revealing,” she says.

Below, Sweeney shares her five beauty and fashion essentials with CNN Underscored.

The actress says she previously used Laneige’s Water Sleeping Mask to keep her skin hydrated, but now she’s switched to this editor-favorite mask, which she leaves on overnight. Formulated with a peony and collagen complex, the mask locks in moisture and nourishes your skin while you sleep. “It has little balls of collagen in it, and my skin loves it,” she says. “I wake up with hydrated, glowing, and plump skin.” Sweeney is also a big fan of the brand’s Vanilla Lip Sleeping Mask , which she uses “all day, every day.”

Sweeney completes her casual look with a simple white tee from Cotton On, which specializes in quality, everyday basics at affordable prices. The brand’s signature tees and tanks start at $20, with most items priced under $100. “I discovered Cotton On while filming in Australia, and I was obsessed,” she says. This classic organic tee is made from 100 percent organic cotton and features a relaxed fit and timeless crew neck.

Sweeney swears by this kitchen and beauty staple, which she applies to her body for soft, hydrated skin. “I order this coconut oil on Amazon. It’s amazing,” she notes. “It smells amazing and feels so good on my skin.” Available in three different sizes, this cold-pressed, unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil can be applied topically or used in cooking.

Traveling for work and spending hours on hair and makeup have taken their toll on Sweeney’s hair. “My hair is just dead right now, and my ends are really split,” says the actress, who is also a global brand ambassador for Kérastase. To help with that, she turns to the brand’s ultra-nourishing hair elixir. “I love using this hair oil, it really helps bring my hair back to life,” she notes. Formulated with antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and a blend of argan oil, camellia oil, and marula oil, the hair product nourishes and conditions hair.

Sweeney says that while she’s become “more comfortable exploring and experimenting with different styles and shapes” on the red carpet, she’s much more comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. She cites the iconic Levi’s 501 jeans as one of her favorites. With a subtle vintage feel, these mid-rise jeans are made from 100 percent cotton, have a loose, straight fit, and a five-pocket design.
